$10,000 awarded to PACE Center for Girls, Inc.
Pace Center for Girls is an alternative education and social services program, whose purpose is to intervene and prevent high school drop-outs, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, addiction and welfare dependancy.

$4,000 awarded to Big Brothers / Big Sisters
"Jump into Reading" program provides mentoring and tutoring opportunities to build resiliency and literacy skills in young children with the help of caring adult volunteers who become mentors and role models.

$4,000 awarded to Treasure Coast Food Bank
The TCFB works to alleviate childhood hunger by providing child-friendly, nutritious food to low-income children
for home consumption on the weekend during the school year. The program provides and promotes healthy lifestyle,
preventive education, and activities in an afterschool program environment.

$4,000 awarded to United for Families (Shoes That Fit)
Shoes That Fit is a program that gives gift cards to foster children every 6 months, so that they are able to purchase new shoes in the correct size

$2,000 awarded to St. Lucie County Education Foundation
This program provides funds for teachers who have developed creative and innovative classroom projects that engage
students in learning activities.

$2,000 awarded to New Horizons
The 20 bed Children's Crisis unit will be a safe and caring place where children ages 6 to 17, who are experiencing a mental
health or substance abuse crisis, come for emergency treatment.

$2,000 awarded to Helping People Succeed
BRAIN is a universal outreach program offered in partnership with local hospitals and the Healthy Start Coalition
of St. Lucie County. The program provides a nursing visit the week following a baby's visit and an educational home
visit at 2 months.

$2,000 awarded to Habitat for Humanity
Build homes for qualified very low income families in St. Lucie County. The Women's Build program builds Habitat
homes with the management and labor provided almost entirely by women and girls. This Women's Build home will be
owned by a single mother with a 17 year old daughter.

$2,000 awarded to Children's Home Society
Wavecrest Shelter is a 12 bed temporary shelter for non dilinquent youth ages 11-17. In addition to safety, shelter, food and
clothing, they also receive intensive individual, family and group counseling.

It is our goal to support non-profit organizations and charitable endeavors devoted to improving the lives of women and children within our community.
Our goals include supporting non-profit organizations and charitable endeavors that are devoted to improving the lives of women and children within our community. This year, we received applications for assistance from nine organizations and have helped each of them as indicated below.
