2008 Collectable Holiday Ornament

The Royal Palms of Saint Lucie are excited to present the fourth annual collectible ornament. This year we have chosen the Arcade Building as the third in a series of historical landmarks.
The Arcade Building was constructed in 1926, during the Florida building boom. It is a Spanish Colonial Revival style building. When it was constructed, this site was the largest commercial building in the city. It served as a mixed-use building with retail and professional office uses until the 1980s, when fire damaged a third of the structure. For years, the building was underused, and most of the vacant spaces needed repairs. The city worked with the property owner on a plan for the restoration of the building comparable to its original condition. The rebuilding process was truly an art form of mixing old and new architecture and planning methods. By doing so, Ft. Pierce is reclaiming our city as an attractive place to live.
All proceeds benefit the women’s and children’s charities supported by The Royal Palms of Saint Lucie. The ornament is now available for $18. To purchase on please contact Dana Trabulsy, at (772) 370-3909 or e-mail us at ornaments@theroyalpalms.com.
